Motivation

Create a campaign that would turn the company around.

Method

We conducted a deep examination of every facet of the customer experience, including a probe of the menu and the stores, employing nationwide focus groups and concept testing.

Results

The “Think Outside the Bun” campaign was launched in the immediate aftermath of September 11th and sales increased instantly with metrics improving across all stores and categories. The campaign penetrated and ran successfully for nearly 10 years.
